ACWFS participates in the EU funded Erasmus + project 'Innovations in Water Education Programs:  Enhancing Water Security and Socio-Economic Development in the Eastern Mediterranean under Climate Change' (acronym WASEC). The project aims to develop and promote interdisciplinary water resource management courses via a "Water Network" among universities in the Eastern Mediterranean through collaboration with companies, research institutes and public authorities. Ultimate goals include implementing the accredited courses in all partner countries and tailoring them to using new technologies in the face of climate change. During a kick-off workshop in March in Jordan the 13 participating partners organized a detailed working program for the project that will be completed by November 2012. Ben Sonneveld and Wim van Veen represent ACWFS in the project.
